I was thinking about getting a dms4 pro, but changed my mind just after ordering it from this website because I wanted to get a matrix infinity.

I was a little weary of this site beforehand, because no one had heard of it. Well, I decided to chance it. Big mistake. I emailed the account where I received my invoice from. I also emailed the paypal email address. When I got no reply, I thought fair enough maybe he doesn't check those accounts. I then emailed his customer support on the website, no reply. I waited about 4 days. I then emailed the customer support email found on his paypal account (different address), no reply there.

I had waited more than a week, no chip, no reply. I then opened a support ticket on paypal, I then received a message from him via paypal. Telling me that his terms and conditions on the site say that he will reply when he gets the chance, and will dispatch the item asap, as he sends out "15000" items a day. I don't know how he expects me to believe that, as Amazon probably sends out thousands a day, but can still reply. And no one has even heard of the site. Besides, he had no terms and conditions on his site (which I should have noticed anyway). I then escalated the claim to paypal. Paypal said that if they do not receive a reply from the seller, they will decide in my favour. No reply, so I got my money back luckily.

He also owns a site called: http://www.phone-gadgets.co.uk which is shown on his paypal account. There is another website I saw on his paypal very briefly, I'm angry that I can't remember what it is, but the template of that website is the same as 360chip.

Probably not a scam. Things take time for him to receive deliveries etc.

Most businesses wether self employed or coporate will tell you this and that, but they always have problems. I own a business and it can take a while for certain things to appear that I ordered.

If he is a big supplier of chips then he will have no doubt larger reseller customer base, who purchase in the hundreds or thousands.


EDIT: Seems his 360chip site is down or closed. If he closed it to cover tracks he wont get far. Trading Standards will collar him.

well, he refused to reply back days after sending an email to him, the phone number on hs paypal is definetly fake. And he only replied after taking it to the resolution center saying he will get to me, ignoring my question asking for a refund.

Well if you wanted you could forward the information to Trading Standards or the Police.

Im sure they will pick him up.

i tried to buy a mod chip, i know its hardly drugs :D but isn't it a grey area? How would I go about doing this anyway? ring them up?

modchips arent illegal.

Its in the way they used by others that makes what they do illegal. If you use it to genuinely play backups that you have originals for then your more than legal to use one.

I agree with DABhand i also own an internet and physical business and if you have a lot of items to ship and/or resellers and you´re the sole manger it can take a while to take care of everything regardless of what the site says, so it most likely wasn´t a scam, but oh well.

but then why lie about a terms and conditions that isn't even on the site? I can understand not being able to send an email because one is so busy, but then why would they only reply when it seems a complaint has been made to a 3rd party, and refuse to even acknowledge that you asked for a refund and cancellation of the order? I couldn't even ring him because the number on the paypal account was false (+44123456). And also, 15000 orders and not a single post on a forum other than the one I made and another guy asking for information (that thread didn't exist before I placed the order), and no one could confirm it then either.

+44 is the internation code for dialing into the UK. But yeah 123456 is false, or did you just use that as an example.

Seen his site, and I can say hes breaking the law in terms of online trading in the UK by not mentioning his VAT reg no. and his place of business address and contact number.

Other than that I can see why hes busy some of the chips are very reasonably priced.

Well its upto you if you want to pursue it to the Trading Standards. You have plenty of ammo if you feel this guy is scamming people.
