REQ: Cracking tools and tutorials
 

hello... thought the title was a little interesting...

well... im here in iraq and have one of those jobs that i got time on my hands... so i thought... why not learn how to crack games :D

so i spent 8 hours yesterday looking on the internet for how to make mini isos for C&C 3 TW... i also looked how i could crack the same game... but i cant seem to be able to find any place in the game that seemed like it made any sense...

so... im here... here is what im asking for...

1. Modern cracking tools (all i found were last updated 4-6 years ago)
2. Modern How-To (all i have found were seeming simple cracks compared to complex security features in new games?)
3. Someone to be awake in IRC... where you all at :)

making mini iso's is NOT cracking....

do some research yourself..... google for 'reverse engineering'
and check the forum itself... especially threads like 'how do i make a no-cd'
(even thenm you're only skimming the surface), quite a lot of protections nowadays are quite sophisticated and you wont find much public information about them.. so 'i got time on my hands'... i hope you mean months, years....
cos learning how to reverse engineer is a hard thing to learn... and most people give up at the very beginning...

c&c: tw is securom protected, so you have quite a few obfuscation layers to go through, as well as anti-debug... bad choice to start with, start with something simple, then work your way up...
