Battlefield 2 - The Complete Edition
 

Hello,
First: This is not a crack requesting, because this game has been released just some days ago!
I only want to know if anyone knows its copy protection.
I will buy it today or tomorrow, so it should arrive mid next week.
Now I can play my Battlefield 2 (only the main game), which I will sell as soon as possible, with a fixed image without any problems.
However, I doubt this fixed image will work with the Complete Edition as the DVD won't be the same as the old DVD.

Would be nice if anyone could give me some information. ;)

Protection probably is Safedisc v4 as all other releases of Battlefield 2.

The mini-image should work just fine, it worked for me with the original Bf2 release, Special Forces plus the other BF2+SF DVD released some time ago. The BleH mini-image haven't failed me once on any BF2 related thing.. :)

P.S. I don't think it should be difficult to create a mini image of the new disc, if it is necessary ;)

Just one more question:
Do I need to download something after I installed the complete game?
I thought booster packs need to be downloaded...
I hope I only need to install the game!

Well Deluxe Edition has BF2 and Special Forces in the same installation, only asks for the different keys. My guess is that The Complete Edition will install BF2, SF, Euro Forces, Armored fury and the 1.41 patch directly during setup. You will probably be asked for the corresponding keys though.

Yes it will include both BF2 and Special Forces as well as both the Euro Forces and Armored Fury booster packs.
Not sure about the 1.41 update patch though?

And if my information is correct, both BF2 and SF will just require the serials but I think the booster packs need to be registered to your BF2 account online?

Good idea EA releasing all four games on one DVD, they must have got the idea from us at cd-2-dvd.com! We did it long ago. :p

Well the Deluxe Edition installs the 1.40 patch directly during setup.. :)

:( So, patch v1.41 is needed to install. :(

I mean the patch 1.41 is more than a half year old!
The Complete Edition has been released only some weeks ago, hasn't it?
And a user means the Complete Edition installs all necessary things included patches...

I meant the "Deluxe Edition" released some time ago, this is about The Complete Edition so no need to worry ;)

OK, I got this game some hours ago.
(German version of course).
I can confirm that it perfectly works with a mini image (as hssemichi said).
(My mini image is 20,5 mb).
You can use it for BF2 and Special Forces!
The newest patch (1.41) is included.
To activate the booster packs, you just have to go to the EA site, and type your account name and the serial.
(This is also written in the manual - it's very fast and simple ;) )
