Medieval 2: Game doesn't start
 

Hey, I just cracked my 1.2 version of Medieval 2 because I'm too lazy to put the DVDs in all the time. I tried both cracks on GCW, but none does work, unfortunately. After replacing the original exe, the game doesn't start because of an "unknown error". Anyone got an idea why?
(I used a legal copy and serial!)

Sounds like the cracks were not the problem, something on your system is.

Update both your GFX and sound card drivers.
Install the latest DirectX 9.0c.

And then try again.

thanks, but i have the latest versions of everything. with dvd, the game runs absolutely fine. but as soon as i apply the gcw-exe, it crashes

what o/s you using i,ve did mine a couple of weeks ago version 1.0 using the no cd found on game copy world and that works ok even with vista

it's XP.. i never tried it with the previous versions, so maybe it's a 1.2 issue. but apparently most people are able to use the crack for 1.2, otherwise it wouldn't exist... :confused:
