Alternative FFVIII NTSC-PAL Selector Patch?

The one on the mega games sites doesnt work for me, even after installing CDRWIN.

Are there any PPF alternatives?

Hmmm.. Guess not.

Umm Any other way to apply the PARADOX patch?

First of all, the ppf patches will only patch on the correct iso version and size.

there is a iso creater called IsoProducer which uses the PeOPS CD-r plugin which is specifically for reading old PSX discs.

Once you make an ISO of your disc with that, use PPF patcher found on GCW to apply a patch to your ISO. If its the correct size and of course location (cant use US patches on a PAL game) then you will be fine.

Thanks, but the paradox patch isnt a PPF file, its something else, and its really confusing.

Its an old executable that patches the .iso files. If you have a x64 bit windows it wont run.

You will maybe have to use isoproducer to make the iso's and if you can run that patcher from PDX then patch the files that way.

Which version of FF8 do you have?

NTSC-U

Since my PSone only plays NTSC games in Black and White, I wanna use this patch to make it able to select the PAL version of the game. Thus being in colour.

Ive done it with others, but they were PPF patches.

Would be easier getting a modchip fitted. It then would play NTSC games in colour.

Or you can invest in a scart connection from TV to PSone.

i cbf'd getting all that done, when i'll be getting a flip top set for my PS2 soon.

I just want the patch to play it until then.
