Gothic 2 - mounting mini image with deamon tools
 

gothic 2 crack says to mount .mds file with deamon tools and play normally.
i mount it to virtual drive :F and try to get game to go. says to insert the proper cd into D drive. what am i doing wrong? please help

I have read that before. i renamed my d drive to G drive and named virtual drive to D and it told me to put the disk in G drive (the real drive) and didnt say anything about the D drive (the fake drive) according to the documents that came with the .mds file it is protected with "Protection : Securom 7 / JoWooD Xprot" if that helps.

seems you are mixing protections here.
gothic 3 is using JoWood X-Prot + Tages 5.5.2 API.
gothic 2 is SecuROM 4 (+additional SVKP wrapped i think).

it is what it said in the document that was enclosed with the .mds files not my own words.

It is Gothic 2 GOLD. with NoTR included.

i Uninstalled it, and reinstalled it without NoTR (Night of the Raven) downloaded a Gothic 2 Fixed Exe. it works fine now. but i cant use the NoTR part then without knowing about the mds file and how to work it right. any help would be appreciated.

The Gold Edition(v.1.32.0.1) of Gothic2 has:SecuROM 7.10.0008+ JoWood X-Prot v1.6.4.23.
The Night of Ravens(v2.7.01) addon has: SecuROM 7.00.0004
The original Gothic2: SecuROM 4.83.52.0004
He wasn't very specific, but if the scan shows SecuROM7 + Xprot, I guess is the Gold Edition. And for that, If I remember well, only a full image made with Alcohol worked. Of course, for the Gold Edition there is a crack, but he seems to wish a mini-image.
