Consoles: Xbox 360 vs PS3
 

Hey

I'm a bit of a noob when it comes down to the latest up-to-date consoles and was just wanting to ask a few questions.
I own a PS2 at the moment with around 15 games.

What's the point in the PS 3 - Will gamers be able to play online like xbox 360 live?

I want to be able to play others online (like with the Xbox 360 live). Will it be long before the 360 goes out of date? I don't want to spend £££ then find out that the newer console does what I want it to do PLUS MORE.

If this has already been asked then please do point me in the right direction.
