Anyone got an XPFS 360 mouse/keyboard adapter to work?
I've just been to a friends house and he's bought the XPFS 360 keyboard/mouse adapter for his 360, and we're having a right pig getting a mouse to work!
See here for more details: Code:
http://www.xcm.cc/xcm_xfps_360.htmWe've tried a standard PS/2 mouse, a USB mouse (and with a USB to PS/2 adapter on it) and a USB Trackball and only the trackball would work but very slow to respond and is not fit to play with! The mouse is supposed to function as the Right Analogue stick to allow the mouse to control the camera looking around and the left mouse button is the fire button, but can't get the damn mouse to work. Anyone have any experiences using the XFPS and can offer advice? |
The usb mouse used does not have more than 3 buttons, correct? Also, it did not come with a PC driver/software disk, did it?
|
The USB mouse is a Razer Diamondback Wheelmouse, 2 buttons plus the Wheel which can be clicked and act as a 3rd button. It did come with it's own driver as it was purchased for a PC, but it didn't work correctly and so we tried it on his 360 instead, without much success! Power is going to the mouse as it lights up RED when plugged in!
*EDIT* Just remembered the Razer mouse has additional buttons on the sides, 2 on the left and 2 on the right! The other mouse we tried, the PS/2 one, just had 3 buttons on the top! |
hmm, you might want to check their site. I am not sure why the PS/2 mouse did not work (unless is was plugged into the KB socket of the device). But the 3+ button mice are likely to not work. If they come with a driver disk then that is most likely a sign that you should stay away. those $3 optical mice will probably work. They are made with cheap parts that are supported in all OS's.

He's fired off an e-mail to XCM the company that makes the XFPS, just waiting for a reply! Just wondered if anyone here had one of these and what keyboard/mouse they use.
We asked for a compatability list in the e-mail we sent so if they reply I'll let you know what they say. |
