Warhammer DOW
 

Recently aquired Warhammer Dawn Of War Winter Assault. When trying to install it states the following,

Error-You are attempting to patch the wrong version of dawn of war. Please ensure you have installed all patches between version 1.0 and the current patch version.

So i duly went of and downloaded all available patches the first of which was version 1.0, that installed ok. The next patch was 1.10, sadly this fails with a patching error stating that the patch may be corrupt. I have downloaded it from a few different places all with the same result.

No antivirus, spyware or malware progs running!

Any ideas anyone?

Get the patch(es) (again), from the developer/publisher (that can't be corrupted!) instead of third-party sites; if it still gives you this error message, complain at the publisher.

The first time i downloaded all the patches available from the Relic site! I have even re-installed the base game wiping out my old save games, it does the same thing! Well pissed i am now!!!!!

is your original dow original? are you using cracks?

Well i worked it out eventually. I was using an original DOW but i had changed the exe to a nocd version. Now the only problem i have to contend with is the game locking up constantly!

No i managed to work it out entirely by myself. But if i hadnt i would have from your post so thank you all the same! :)
