*edit* bleh, trymedia crack... and yep, doesn't work.. perhaps only works with the trymedia release of the game... sigh

just use the 1.7 crack it works for 1.8 version

Not sure, but almost any old FEAR exe worked with the updated version, you just seem to forget one important thing:
When replacing the new file with an old crack, you autmatically make the patch useless, as the exe was probably changed due to bugfixes etc.
This way, you could have the same state like before applying the update (course, there are changes inside file archives etc, new sounds, graphics, maps blah).
Main changes are done inside the main exe tho ;)

Sorry for the fuckup, I've packed the wrong EXE. Damn it was late. Now it works!

No problem, I had like 20 EXEs in one folder & picked unpacked, but not fixed EXE. If it starts, then the rest will work in 100%.

The RS and GCW -s Exe was the same (binary compared), so there are
BOTH the working one(s)...

DEARM seems to work on this one too.
