The Sims 2 Addons problem!

nearly all addons of the sims 2 don't start.

the error message: "Dies ist nicht die aktuelle Die Sims 2-Version. Bitte führe stattdessen Die Sims 2: Glamour-Accessoires aus."

only the original sims 2 with glamour pack works without a problem.

what should I do to play the addons?

Well, contact the publisher for help. Perhaps, you need to install the original game and the addons in a specific order, or you need to apply the latest official updates? (The message says: "This is not the current version of The Sims 2. Please, execute The Sims 2: Glamour Accessories instead.")

If you have several add-ons installed you have to start the game with the latest one. If you have "Glamour Stuff" you have to run that exe. If you also have older add-ons you'll be able to use features fromthem. For example - even when you start Sims Glamour Stuff you'll be able to go to university (if you have that add-on). Starting with older add-ons won't work, because the latest install updates you neighbourhood and you saves. So just play Glamour stuff and don't worry - it's supposed to be that way!

if i start sims 2 glamour a. then could I play automatically all the addons?

why are the other desktop icons on my desktop, if I have to start only the sims 2?

Other icons are there because they were created when you installed previous add-ons. If you don't beleve me, just start Glamour and go to university...

I have said this many times through these forums and I will say it again.
The addons only add new content to the original game, and will only start from the icon of the last installed game/addon.
So all your other games are still there but now they are all combined into one big game. ;)

It doesn't "pack" them, it's just that if you have previous add-ons installed you can play them if you run Glamour. Just run the Glamour file and you'll see that you can play everything that you've installed before!!!
