LotR: Battle for Middle-Earth 2 v1.05 - fixed exe not working
 

It seems that recently posted LotR: "Battle for Middle-Earth 2 v1.05 [MULTI5] Fixed EXE" by Razor 1911 is not quite working. Same as in some previous bad cracks all units and buildings die after 5 min of playtime and the misson ends. Hopefully there will be an updated one?

You can make a mini-image of the game and play that way.


There is also a possibility the crack is for the American version and not European. I know it states multi5 but dont trust everything you read.

I tried it today 30 Minutes (German DVD Versin) and it worked without any problems!

Hmm, maybe I should reinstall..funny..it works without the crack...

I have heard the 1.05 'crack' is good, so may be an installation problem as I've experienced the 'party of death' and had to reinstall again to stop my party being killed for no reason, that's with and without a crack!

Yes reinstall helped...so this crack works after all...sorry :o

If the file isnt installing right, just get the best you can and then carry on?

The crack works for starting the game, but when I try to launch a LAN Game, there's a conflict with the version of the game.
I checked the options and the result was: the game's versions changes everytime the game is started. In this way its impossible to create a LAN Game because the chance to get the same version number is very bad...

The latest crack DOES NOT WORK. I am running BFME2 Collectors Edition and have the same problem. The game opens, yet every time I open the game the version changes. I've had it vary between 0.14 and 0.88 :confused: :confused: :confused: I have 2 friends that have the exact same problem. I've tried a fresh install+patch and re-downloaded the patch incase it was corrupt somehow, but unfortunately didn't fix it.

Maybe Razor did that on purpose to stop you trying to play online with a crack? I assume it works with the original EXE?

its similar protection to the command and conquer games, this 'issue' generally came around the time of c&c:generals, the code itself is quite tricky to find, and is relative to the executable self checking (so, yes it is a crack issue), as for contacting rzr.. good luck
