How to Back up Paraworld?

Hallo!

Can smoe body help me to back up this game... It is exactly 4.47Gb big and my DVDs seems to be to small... What can I do? I tryed to shrink it with WINrar but it didnt help, it made it only a few Mb smaller...

Has no one an idea? I think it is a simillar problem like with Flatout2 but there i was able do delte some unnecessary files from the cd.

Make an image with Alcohol or blindwrite. Then U can use the image burn assistant included in Alcohol and BW but it won't help u cuz Paraworld uses TAGES protection which can't be broken/bypassed at the time. Maybe there's a crack soon/some day/never??? Dunno:cool:

Thank you for your answer, but I don’t want make an working Back-Up only a copy for installation if my original damage.. This happened for a long time with Black & White 1 and that was not very nice. My problem is when I make an Image so is this to big for a standard DVD (4.7GB). I do not know how to shrunk it.

U don't need to shrink it. start Alcohol and at the top of the left bar you'll find an option called "Aufzeichnungsassistent" or record assistant or whatever. Click on it! then U select your paraworld image and then click "weiter" or continue and then Start. that's it. :D

BTW

Dont try to burn the ISO to the disc in data mode, since you said you rar'd it.

You want to burn the disc from an image mode, so it makes the disc from the ISO.

Which now comes to the point of, how did you know how to make an ISO when you didnt know how to burn it right?

Paraworld is nearly out what a great day. It´s made from a game factory in Berlin called SEK.

I have a making of @ home. Have you tried MagicISO V4.5.0.113 - CD/DVD-Images?

OHH NO. make an image using the Alcohol image assistant also located on the top of the left bar.

Vielleicht ma in deutsch: -Alcohol120% anmachen
-auf Imageassistent klicken
-dann immer auf weiter
-warten bis image fertig is(nix WinRAR,Nix selbst kopiere.)
-Aufzeichnungsassistent starten
-image auswählen(*.mds/*.mdf| NICHT *.iso)
-immer auf weiter und FERTIG

Sorry for this bet I guess it's uninteristing for most of the forum users so they don't need to understand.

jevi 18-09-2006 12:44

I trayed also this mehtode! I made an Image and got 2 files. An mdf and an mds and every time when I try to burn it I got always the same message...

bustanut 18-09-2006 13:23

Perhaps you should read what he said.

He rar'd the contents of his disc and renamed it to .iso.

Which wont work when burning.

And I think he tried to burn the mdf and mds file directly to the disc instead of burning it is an image.

Now since he first said .iso, the question about the protection flew out the window, since no .iso will keep the topography of the disc.

And no use coming here for your first post and trying to tell others that other people are talking bollocks.

I issue a challenge, why is tages unable to be backed up 1on1. Giving reasons and not saying "I read it elsewhere"

This is wrong! I made an Image first and like I said I got 2 files (mdf/mds) and then I tryed to burn it like an Image (it is not my first time if you think that). It is not necessary which methode I try, but I got by all methodes the same message...

So if that's true we have 3 passibilities.
1: The game is on a DVD-9 not DVD-5
2: Your DVD-/+R is not empty or broken> toy another one
3: You're just too stupid for this.

it's up to you. choose one!;)

Well, doun´t worry Im shure I am not stupid for this, but i think that with your first option you are right.
I hoped that i can find here some help or solutions how can I get this Back-up on a standard DVD. I tryed to avoid my more complicated way to split the Files in 2 parts and burn it on two DVDs because its a shame to make a two DVD solution because of 200MB...
