Evolution GT Freezes
 

Hello you all

I've recently downloaded the official demo from the BlackBean Games webpage and experienced this problem: the game freezes at the white loading screen with the orange boxes. :(
Any ideia how to solve the problem?

I really want to get my hands on this game to see how it goes, so any help will be welcome.

You would have more luck with your problem if you contact BlackBean Games support directly.
They should have some sort of support contact possibly on the same webpage where you downloaded the Demo.

I totally agree with you. Unfortunatelly, BlackBean Games have support services to the Italian, French and German markets only!
Check http://www.blackbeangames.com/?act=consumer and you'll see what I mean. I can't understand why. And english is the only language I know besides portuguese.
I even posted my problem in their consumer email, but up to this date, still no reply.

I know this is off topic for the forum, but did you ever get desperate to run something that you really want and you can't? I bet you welcome any help that you get. I know I do.

There might be a support forum. I cannot believe that they sell this game to country X and then don't provide support fpr the same game in the same country! There must be something...!

By the way, this game is good: if you manage to solve your problem, you should definitely get the full version, too! :) (Hehe, you might mention in your E-mail request: if you can't solve my problem, I'm not going to buy the game either... :D)

I have the exact same problem, the loading screen just freezes. I've tried searching for a forum of blackbeans, nothing

in most cases with these sorts of problems it turns out to be either a sound driver or a display driver problem.
Are you sure you meet the minimun system requirements stated on the box?

I have more than the minimum or recomended system requirements stated at the Blackbean site from where I donwloaded the file. Here follows:
- P4 processor @ 3.0 Ghz
- 1 Gb system memory
- X1600Pro Radeon with 256 Mb memory
- MB Asus P4S800D-E Deluxe with Sound Max Digital Audio onboard
- Latest Drivers from ATI installed

Disable sound: integrated sound cards are VERY incompatible with most games...! You might want to try an older version of Radeon drivers, too (although, I think it is rather an nVidia problem that sometimes the very latest drivers are incompatible with some games).

That seems to work. Disabling sound did get the demo running. Unfortunately didn't solve the problem completly, because now I have the game with no sound.
Nice graphics... I wander how is it with the engine screaming... :D

I've disabled the sound too, now it works a bit better with the full game. I got to play a part of the game. But now it's freezed again in the career mode, cause i get to see another menu. Also when i try to play a single race, the game freezes when i'm in the menu where i've to choose a car. really strange this! Also i finfd it strange blackbean does not have a proper support page/ forum..

Btw i'm using a ATI 9800 xt, I used to run the latest omega drivers. I uninstalled those and intalled the original driver i've on cd
My soundcard is a Creative Audigy player, which i had the latest drivers also, when i had the problem, I also changed to old drivers. But no difference.

you could always buy a cheap old Sound Blaster Live for like 10-20 euros on ebay, it's old, but new enough to support 5.1 true surround and it will always be better than any integrated soundcard ;)
