apple chip and new slim line
 

How are the apple chips with the new slim line PS2s? I have one in my V7 that has not let me down yet so I would like to get another one.
Also how difficult is it to mod the slim line compared to the older PS2. I did my own V7 so I would like to get a sence of difficulty compared to the old PS2.

Not much difference in the difficulty level between v7 and v12 to be honest, so you shouldnt have much trouble.

Mods have moved on a looooong way since the old Apple chips, so I'd say go with a new Matrix Infinity. Those chips are the dogs and will not let you down, I guarantee it.

Just make sure you fit a laser fix such as the Comsoft v4 which I would recommend if you're going to put a mod in a v12... Just be careful cutting that trace as its VERY close to several other small traces. The utmost care is essential (as Im sure you are already aware)...
