what do you need to be able to record a dc game of my own without having to download it from some one else? what will read the dc game onto the computer so i can make my own backups?

nothing other then a serial connector made from a neo geo to dreamcast cable or a rgb cable

called the neo-geo pocket to dreamcast cable the link was mentioned here somewhere on the board a while ago so look back at previous posts, i got mine from a store here in the city but that was a while back before they got yanked or sold out of the stores. Now you will have to order it or find it at a pawn shop or swap shop.

The rest well you need access to capacitors and a portion of an old serial connector and a board to solder your design to or a bread board that will probably work.

Look at dccopyworld.com in the utilities section and follow the link for the software program dreamrip it will take you to this guys page, although you need not design or build it like he has done some portion of the design are overkill.

too much, I can tear a PC apart and build from scratch but that I don't think I can do. Tried adjusting my laser on my PSX and F'd that up--lol
Think I will stick to downloading--lol x 3000

good idea use the newsgroups to get your images, just get good newsgroup software like forte agent (the free version)
