Comanche 4, V1.0.1.15 - NOCD
 

I just bought the game since I have been after a helicopter game and the ones I wanted are not availalble for purchase. Other than that, the problem is I don't see any NOCDs listed at GCW for Comanche 4. Anyone know where one can be found? Thanks!

Anyone else have this game and have trouble getting it to load without an error pop-up?

I have tried the original CD, making a backup and the NOCD crack. Nothing is working. Though, the game does load, unless I don't click the error notice the game shuts down. I am assuming I shouldn't leave the error notice running in the background while playing the game. Even weirder, the C4Lan.exe file for multiplayer works fine, but can't access the SP game with it...

Tried emailing Novalogic, but they are of no help! :(

It can't be that old of a game, can it? :D

You can try to set the main exe to Win98 or Win95 compatibility...

I already tried Win98, same problem. Guess I'll try the other next, otherwise I'll have to phone Novalogic and bemoan them for their "No Support" stance on their games...

As far as I know, if GCW doesn't carry a crack and GameFix does, it's because GCW was explicitly asked to remove it (by the publisher or the developer or some other person/company officially/legally related to the game). (And GameFix, probably, doesn't give a shit about such requests... ;))

Funny, after several days of searching I found out the solution myself, then got an email from Novalogic just a few minutes later. Their solution isn't the correct one either... :)

Sheesh, I had only found the other by accident, but check it out if those of you with the game have the same issue. It was just a matter of changing the file they linked over the one the CD installed. It must be faulty off the disc or something. If anyone wants a copy send me an email or grab it from the link above. It's the one titled novaworld_update_121903_xx.zip.
