Battlefield 2 Backup CD

Hey guys, here is my reason for needing a backup !

I was reformatting my HD today and had the case open while i was doing it, and i had started to install BF2 from my original CD's, well when it was loading i turned the comp case on its side to adjust a fan on my new HD, and the CD in my drive kinda got knocked around a little and it wont read the disk anymore, so i was wondering how to copy just the first disk of installation so i can install the game again.. My brother in law offered to lend me his install disk so i could use it to copy a new one, and I do own the game, i purchased it legit, and have my own CD key, so im not trying to pirate this stuff, ive been playing the game for almost a year now and it was on my own stupidity to turn the case on its side when the drive was running the cd, :(

So if anyone could give me a tutorial on what programs i need and such to burn a copy of my install disk, and anything else that would be involved, i have made Ghost Images through Alchole120% before, but like i said i need to install the game again since i reformatted... thanks for your help |v|orph !!

Very strange since most CD-roms have a lock mechanism to hold a disc in place while its being used.

But since its just an install disc, you should be able to either.

Make a 1to1 copy

or

Copy the data from the disc into a folder on your HD and burn back to a disc with the same disc label.

Getting the game to work after that well, is upto you. Like a mini-image.

But it would be smarter to contact the publisher and get them to send a replacement for a small fee aslong as you can send in the damaged disc and proof its your copy.

Aight cool, ill try to copy the files over to the HD and then try to burn them back to a disk, i wasnt sure if that would work so i didnt try it but maybe i will, wasnt sure if i needed some sort of program to bypass the protection that these disks have on it or not.... and if all else fails guess ill be contacting EA ... lol

These rar and zip files hold a manual in it. I copied the content of this Manual:

1. go to your local game store
2. select the game you want
3. pay the game
4. leave the shop with the game
5. put cd/dvd into your drive
6. install
7. play

Is it so hard to be a pirate? With this manual, it is not!
