patched version.
Does anyone know if that exists ?

It does.
There is an Ozzie 1.1 version original exe out there that can be used with securom loader. I upped it on GCW but they don't seem to care.

I could up it to usenet if you like. Mail me personally.

EDIT: As far as I know what I am about to do is perfectly legal and allowed here.
If it isn't, don't just lob off my head but point it out to me and I will change what needs to be changed.

The file was "ignored" as it was already available since 18-05-2006 and having the same file available is a bit useless. But I will add the AU v1.1 the info as this is useful!

But I have not been able to find the original Australian Patch #1 as there was un updated patch #1 which includes both US/EURO/AU/ASIA patches and this will most likely not work anymore to upgrade the US/EURO version to the Australian version. Can anyone confirm this?

AOW - High Treason
 

I'm very surprised the file was ignored, a small message to tell me why would've been nice.
GCW has only two files for AOW-HT, a 1.0 fixed exe and a maxi image.
I'm offering something completely new, a patched 1.1 exe.

The info clearly states that the exe file was a 1.1 patch updated Ozzie original exe file.
After updating your Euro copy of AOW-HT you can use this file with the securom loader since the Ozzie version uses Securom while the Euro version uses Tages and has NO fix (it does for 1.0, but NOT for 1.1).

GCW didn't have (and STILL doesn't) have any patch/fix/crack or whatever to enable people to play AOW-HT with patch 1.1.
If you have a widescreen monitor you REALLY want this patch. If you think that in a 180MB patch there could be something *worth your while*, you REALLY want this patch.

I would urge you to look a bit more attentively WHAT exactly I was sending to GCW since over 20 people have mailed me about the file because GCW couldn't help.

Seems I'm unappreciated after I gave you guys the solution that none of the groups did.

Small addition to clarify a previous question:
If your copy is a Euro copy you need to update it with a European patch. Only after that will you replace the 1.1 exe file that will remain the same anyway.
So unless you have an Ozzie original, you don't need an Ozzie patch.
The updated patch is only a fix and has nothing new, as you can read below.

Then I did not receive your file, I got an "ozzie" patch version from 2 persons which did not include any exe, so this is what I meant with being a useless file. I'll add the file

btw: A lot of files are "ignored" as in most cases they are duplicates of files already availble and if the included info (if any) is too limited then it will not be added. It also happens that people upload corrupted/incomplete files, they are trashed for being useless and if these people send files anonymously there is no way to get a working archive...

So you are not "unappreciated", it was not clear to me that your patch was different to the ones send to us (before yours)

No harm done. The people that approached me from here got what they wanted and it works for them. In the end, even people looking on GCW will find what they need, once you put my file there ;)

Mind you, I only upped it to help other people but I claim no responsibility/credit for it...

Whenever I try to run HT with this method, the game crashes and points to the kernel32.dll - I also tried CureROM, same result.

You're the first that has problems, all other 539 people got it working (+ or - 1 or 2). I'm inclined to think your system is 'off' or that you think you did it all correctly, but actually didn't.

1st of all, make 100% sure you have the correct patch. Perhaps try the updated patch. The patch I used is 183.624.931 bytes big.
(another patch I have ends with 666 bytes, but I didn't test that one).

Install your euro copy of AOW-HT and patch it with... the patch.

Then and ONLY then, replace the original patched euro ActOfWar_HighTreason.exe file for the file from the archive I provided.
Perhaps even replace AOW_HT_Editor.exe with the same (but renamed) file.
(just to root out all files that are using Tages as a protection).

If this really doesn't work then try looking at your drivers and perhaps your hardware (you probably should skip this game on a TNT2).
If nothing draws your attention... chances are your Windows is fouled up. Happened to me several times, stuff just didn't work until I re-installed (read: put back a ghost).
