How do I use an Emulator?

I saved the file of an Emulator to my program files,and I'm not sure how I'm supposed to install it.Can someone help me?

Which emulator do you have?
And for which type of games is it?

I believe it was zsnesw142 for SNES games.And like I said,I saved the file to my program files and I don't know what to do with it from there.
