Freelancer FLserver.exe Cracked version
 

I was hoping to find one here but I had no luck, can anyone direct me to a cracked version of the FLserver.exe? I need a cracked version for further modding for a mod I am making, I know it works without been cracked but it is very important, if some one can help me please say so.

I don't think that making a mod explicitly work with a cracked version of the game is a good idea. If I were the publisher and found that out, I'd sue your ass off for it. (Remember, iD Software didn't mind addons being made for DOOM but they - later? - explicitly asked everyone to include in their addons a few textures or objects that exist in the registered version only but not the shareware version. A similar situation like this...)

The Ioncross team has made quiet a few changes to the EXE files of FL and they are also modding it, they never got sued.

Hacking, to change the behavior of the game, and cracking, to remove the CD/DVD check, are quite different things. Even if both are prohibited by the law (reverse engineering and modification of copyrighted material; you're not adding new data, you're modifying already existing data!), the former may be thought of as kind of a "fair use" and the copyright holder may not mind it... (E.g. I don't think iD Software sued the DeHackEd authors...)

And Freelancer is a M$ pet project... and we all know how M$ are sue-happy bastards ;)

Then what's Gamecopyworld is for? They Edit EXE files to crack them.

Noone here on GameCopyWorld (and FileForums) "edit EXE Files".
We only collect the crack from the WWW.

They were allowed to do the mod aslong as they used the exe provided by the developers which is protected.
