NARNIA

Hi
Just done a backup of 'NARNIA' DVD
Has CSS protection
Used Shrink and Region+CSS Free
On my domestic machine - PIONEER 626D and my son's machine PIONER DV-360 it plays the first chapter as a black screen with no audio BUT plays the rest of the dvd film
On my friends machine PANASONIC DMR-ES30V it plays the whole film
Anyone any ideas

I think AnyDVD is the state of the art tool for ripping (read: un-protecting on the fly for easy ripping) DVD's protected by any copy protection, including custom ones...

I always use AnyDVD and DVD-Decrypter to copy the whole DVD to my HD.
After that you can use any other tool (Shrink, Clone, ...) to create your backup.

I use a combination of DVDFab Decrypter, Anydvd and Clonedvd2.
I made a backup of 'NARNIA' using just DVDFab decrypter and clonedvd2. It works perfect :)
