QUERY: rebuilding mixed CD (audio & data)
I have a 2 game CDs which contains both data & audio parts. The data on
both CDs are different, but the audios are the same (same tracks, etc.). Now both CDs are partially scratched due to years of usage. On CD 1 some audio tracks are distorted (eg. track 2, 4, 7), and on CD 2, tracks 3, 5, 6 are distorted. What am wanting to do is to rebuild the CD, but replacing distorted audio tracks with a clean one from the other CD. What software/program is best to do this? How can one go about doing this task easily? Do I need to rip the audio tracks? What program can rip audio without compressing them (no MP3, etc)? |
You can use quite a few CD/DVD softwares to rip audio tracks from CD's: CDRWin, ISOBuster, UltraISO, Nero: Burning ROM. You'll get the audio tracks in WAV files. Then replace the WAV files of the damaged audio tracks with the clean ones and use Nero: Burning ROM to rebuild the disk; one data track plus multiple audio tracks. Good luck!
