Help needed w/Direct X & The Godfather
 

I have been trying to install the Godfather and it keeps saying I need directx 9.0 or higher. I've installed it, but no luck. Any help is greatly appreciated!

I've had this same problem with a couple of retail games recently, try this, set the setup.exe or whatever exe is used to install the game to run in Windows 2000 Compatability mode, that fixed my problems.

You can also copy the entire disc to a folder and change the minimum DirectX version to zero. that's what I had to do :(
