Legend of Dragoon...
 

First of all, hello people. And hope you can guide me towards the light :p

Okay... so far its pissing me off.

I tried burning the game called "Legend of Dragoon" for the PSX 3 times by burning the .cue file, and everytime, my PSX would display a blue screen saying "Please insert a PlayStation CD-ROM". My PSX IS modded too.

Later on, I found out that there is an XPS patch available for Legend of Dragoon, I d/led the patch, and ran MS-DOS from the Run by typing in "Command". I followed these exact steps (taken from MegaGames)
I tried doing that, but all that DOS tells me is "XPS is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file" ....

If anyone can assist me towards the steps needed to burn the game and have it working properly on my PSX, you have my gratitude.

where you get the image of the game from?

try making a new image from your discs and use one of these GS codes to bypass the anti-mod protection

or

if neither of them work add C1000000 0000 in front of the codes

No, they shouldn't. Some companies just make good first-timers, but poor sequels. I haven't ever seen a good sequel by Sony. They would only thrash the feeling of the original game.

BTW, with no sequels or spinoffs, Legend of Dragoon is unique.

Shame you can't get it working Legend of Dragoon is a brilliant rpg:)

I almost devoted a Whole day trying to make this Backup Work, And I finaly Found out a reason How. With the gameshark Codes Snake2 Gave (Thanks BTW), it works. If you dont have a Gameshark thats no problem you can get one easily, Message me and i would gladly tell you how. And all you do is use the code (First One) that Snake2 Put Out Which is

800FC08E 1000

Oh and when you back Up legend, DO not apply any Patch on it, Just the original CD or ISO.

and Also You will need a mod chip to use the gameshark, (The one I have), But i presume since your trying to play Legen of Dragoon Backup that you have one already

Hey hows it going been having problems patching this game also.I used the paradox patch using ppf-o-matic,but I have problems with it at the beginning.I see a black screen not sure what could have gone wrong here.I tried to use the XPS patch also and have ran into a problem just as Myros did,almost similar but not quite.I open up a dos-prompt and type in the location then type in XPS dragoon.xps and then my file name ending with a .iso extension.It starts to process the patching routine but shows an error on my image file itself.

The Error Message:
Opening XPS File ... Complete.

"âîâWâFâôâhâIâuâhâëâOü[âô"

Opening ISO File ... Failed.

I have been trying to find a method to get this patch to work,but haven't had any success at all.I'm just trying to get the Protection Fix patch cause the paradox patch isn't working for me.I don't have a gameshark to use the code supplied either so I'm struggling at the moment.Thanks in advance and if anyone has just the protection fix patch in ppf form can you please tell me.

PSX or EMulator
 

Will you be playing the Game on a Modded PSX or on an Emulator on your computer. If its a modded PSX i can send you a Gameshark, just burn it and it should work. but youll have to burn Legends without a patch so its alot easier I find

For PSX Games, I Used CLONECD Or CDRWIN.
