Warhammer 40k: DOW trainer errors
 

Hey all

I've searched through the other threads on this subject but can't find anything that helps. Basically, I have the Game of the Year version of this game and am trying to use either the +4 trainer available on GCW from ferret or the +3 trainer from Paradox - the +4 doesn't seem to do anything (although it's not clear whether it's only for use with the Winter Assault add-on) and the +3 causes the game to shut down while loading the level.

Curiously, I can't seem to enter any of the cheats mentioned online either, so I just wondered whether there's something I need to do, or whether there are any suggestions?

If the Game of the Year edition has a slightly different main program then that might need a slightly different trainer, too: the code that needs to be patched is at a slightly different place in the main program. Unless the trainer has an intelligent system that can find the code to be patched...

OK, sooo.... any idea how I can modify anything? I know nothing about altering game files or trainers, but any tips would be appreciated.

I don't think you can modify anything. Perhaps, DABhand can gives us some more infos.

The game of the year edition has a different version number that the original DOW that was originally released.


So you will have to check what version you are running and get a trainer to work alongside it.
