how to play licensed media files without obtaing the license.
Hi,
I just downloaded some videos from the net. All the files are of the type - Windows media audio/video file. when i double click it to play or just play in windows media player, a message comes saying that a license is needed to play this protected content and obtain the license from the content providers' web page. Is there a way(or some software) to play these files without obtaining the license? Please let me know. San. |
DRM is annoying isnt it.
But if you got these legitimatelly you should be able to get the certificate quite easily. Shame that porn from newsgroups isnt the same anymore huh lol |
Jesus, I would only download DRM-less files from the Net, like from Google videos and other similar sources!

DRM is crap IMO. Limiting like that is seriously disturbing. I can listen to it on my PC but not on my Sony WA3000 mp3-player... Gaaah

There is a way though for both video and audio.
Once you get your DRM certificate, use a 3rd party program to record the playing video or audio to another file. No more DRM for that file. |
Yes, although it seems the problem for this guy is getting the DRM cetificate...
Then again, if he paid for it, he should have it ;) |
Yeah DRM is a shite
