fifa 2006 worldcup crashes
 

When I try to start the game an error message pops up and I can't start the game. I've got latest directx, graphic drivers etc...

What for an error message?
Does this happen with the original disc (I think).

If yes, the publisher should be help more.

It's the "standard windows error message": Fifawcexe has encoutered the problem and needs to close...

I've e-mailed EA and got the standard answer to update my drivers, sent them another mail and haven't got any answer yet...and yes, it's original dvd

Have you tried the Windows compatibility mode?
And do you have Service Pack 2?
Or at least Win XP? ;)

Just try it with a crack:

Your error message looks for me like a copy protection problem (because of the "~df...tmp").
And the crack should removes it.

So I think, the problem will be solved!

Try without a crack, read the FAQ, contact the publisher.

I contacted EA, as I've already written before, but I'm still waiting for the 2nd answer. Why should I use the crack, I've got my original copy? (I'll try it anyway)

crash in ~df394b.tmp is DEFINATELY a crash in the safedisc protection, this crash is typically caused by (a) user messing around, patching memory or whatever or.. (b) decrypt key is bad .. typically this happens with a bad image and / or can also be caused by the safedisc code deliberately causing a crash if it detects something (usually within a ccc)... either way it is NOT a crack issue (unless the crack is just the exe wrapped with 'loader' code)...

Most people use cracks and they have the original discs.
Do you like it to put always a game disc into your DVD-device, when you want to play?
If yes, have fun :p

I can understand your opinion, that you are wondering, why the game doesn't start.
Sure the crack is not the real solution, but it is/should be a work-around, to play your game.
But if there isn't another possibility yet, then you have no other chances.
I or we, cannot help you much more, than saying you: try the crack. ;)
