Record Now DX problem
 

Hi all, long time no talk etc.... Hope you all ok


This isn't exactly a PS2 issue but I know a lot of people use Record Now to burn DVDs so thought I'd bring it up here.

I've been using Record Now DX 4.6 for a couple of years now and it has always worked perfectly.

I flash it up today and for some reason my DVD Writer no longer appears on the burner list. Has never happened before, I haven't installed any burning software since I last used it so can't figure out why my Pioneer no longer gets recognised.

Have tried uninstalling and reinstalling. The dvd writer still gets recognised by Nero.

Has anyone got any ideas?

It used to do this with me at times. I'll see if I can remember what I did to solve it...

Same problem here....my Record now just decided to not recognize any connected burners. Seems like I fixed it once too, could have been related to a ASPI driver problem, I can't remember. If you have any luck LUFCfan spread the knowledge!! Good luck...

Funny you should say that - I thought I remembered the same.

If I recall correctly, I believe that I installed some burning software (i.e. DVD Decrypter) with the Patin Couffin Engine, and after that my burners would never be detected in Record Now... :eek:

and funny you should say that because that's exactly what I did the last time that it stopped working...Installed DVD Decrypter. So how do you remove the patin couffin engine and if you could would you want to.

Have tried re-installing aspi layer. No Luck

Nero, Alcohol 120% and disc juggler and record now 6.5 all recognise the drive fine.

Record Now DX 4.6 and CDRWin both won't recognise the drive as a burner.

Drive is a pioneer DVR109.

If I remember correctly those were the two programs that wouldn't work for me either...

They worked fine until recently. Dunno why they didn't work for you.

Problem solved. Its a recent windows update that is to blame with no solution at the moment so have upgraded to newer record now DX and works fine.
