Tomb Raider Legend (NO-DVD) patch.

Hi all Just thought I'd put this up. I have successfully backed up TR Legend DVD with Alcohol 120% v1.9.5 (build 2802) no fancy settings.
  1. After Backing up I mounted the image using one of alcohol's virtual drives and installed the game.
  2. I umounted the image
  3. I right clicked on the desktop icon and chose 'Properties'
  4. I clicked on 'Find Target' to go to the install folder
  5. In the install folder, I created a new folder called 'original exe' and placed the original exe file in it
  6. I copied the patched exe file 'Tomb Raider: Legend v1.0 [MULTI] Fixed EXE' from Gamecopyworld.com into the TRL install folder. (I can confirm this exe works as a No-DVD Patch.)
  7. I booted the game up and hey presto it works :D

Easy peasy.

Lara looks sexier than ever... well for a CG graphic anyway lol! the game loads quickly and seems very smooth so far. I've already got her flick flacking all over the place lol!

A TIP: don't update unless you have a reason to, if the game is running ok leave it alone, I get loads of people calling me saying a game has 'just suddenly stopped working' only to find they tried to update it, and the funny bit... They don't even know why they were updating.

Yeah cool, but you could wrote it into an extisting thread (there are also other threads about Tomb Raider Legend).

And I think there is nothing special in your method ;)

Why have you made an image of your game and installed it then??
You've could installed it from your original disc and simply paste the NoDVD-Crack into the TR Legend game directory...
(And renaming the original exe.)

To see if I could, and I like to use images or backups to keep the original DVD in Mint condition. and also to save on the wear and tear of my precious DVD writers :D

Nothing Special, thah blaggard, I'll have thine head for such a quip  lol!

I just thought if any of the less techie guys and gals wandered by, a bit of plain English would help them on their way to gaming Nivarna.
I see people using all manner of programs that; for the most part, are not necessary and... I noticed on the gamecopyworld.com link to the patched exe it had a foot note querying whether the exe could be used as a no-DVD patch. Well this post tells people it can be used as a no-DVD patch. :D

Plus I wanted a post of my very own;)

Wow, a lot of fancy stuff just to say the crack at GCW works, which by the way most people already know...

Try without a crack, read the FAQ, contact the publisher etc.

As far as i know: that happens if you patched the game to version 1.1 and use the crack for 1.0 - the crack won't work with version 1.1.

But if you haven't patched the game to 1.1: simply ignore my comment :o !
