Stealth IV PSone Modchip Problem
 

Hi guys,

I've modded a PAL PSone with a Stealth IV for a friend, now i've never had a problem with these before and i'm looking to see if anyones got any ideas whats up

Basically the mod is in place, works perfectly, boots all protected games, then after around 30 minutes play the disc just stops spinning completely. :confused:

Turn off, Turn on, Refuses to spin the disc. leave it for around 10 minutes, then it works fine.

Now i've checked all the connections, everythings fine, even taken the mod out, replaced with different wires, the installed back in, Does the same thing.

Take the mod out completely, works fine. Really don't know :confused:

chip might be sending too many signals and then overheat some hardware

could also be that the laser is getting weak or the burnt media o original you are using is scratched/damaged


otherwise I wouldn't see any reason, weird indeed


how old is the ps1 model?
