If you had purchased the game you would have a legit serial and would not need to search one!!!

Read the Forum Rules!!!

Banned!

I have plenty more up my sleeve. ;)
I am not known as Grumpy for nothing you know. :D

i think being a grumpy unhelpful git is all part of being a moderator on this site lol :p

Joe Forster/STA 29-03-2006 10:44

Moderators are the ones to remind people to first think/read and only then talk/write. ;)

dazzashazza 29-03-2006 11:21

I had a feeling Joe would reply - where's your sense of humour ?

I realise we have to be careful with regards to piracy and warez etc but come on, some of the comments I've read on here particularly by the moderators seem a little harsh and especially towards the newbies.

You seem to be a little drunk with power for my liking.

DABhand 29-03-2006 17:46

Well being careful about warez etc is not an issue, you shouldnt be being careful about it in the first place.

Also once your a mod here (which im not) you will get fed up by the countless newer people who dont take the time and courtesy to read the simple rules.

Its like me standing next to you going "bork bork bork bork bork" etc etc you too would get a bit unhappy.

You may have meant it as a joke but being called an 'unhelpful git' is not something that goes down well with me!
I actually help more people here than you obviously realize!

When newbies cant even take the time to read the BIG white popup, which jumps out at them when they first open fileforums, then they deserve what gets dished out to them!
Far to many people come here and expect us to spoon feed them with information! These people need to help themselves first before they expect help. That is a major part of lifes successes!
I doesnt matter if you are a newbie, or if you are a long time member, the same rules and conditions apply to all.
If we allow one newbie to get away with breaking those rules then everybody will think that it is ok to discuss warez and piracy here!

And you seem to be a little wasted with stupidity for my liking!
You really need to get off the drug that you are so obviously on and think before you type!
Only then will life be a little clearer for you and you may even wisen up and think first before you put your keyboard in your mouth!

If you really dont like the way the moderators here deal with things then you dont have to keep coming back!
Be thankful that I havent taken my grumpy power hungry unhelpful git attitude out on you and banned your drug infected brainless soul from here!

To the topic creator, here's how to crack the game.
Kidnap the a starforce employee, torture the damn bastard cut of his head and send his head in the Starforce office to send a message to them.

Joe Forster/STA 30-03-2006 03:49

Well said, Grumpy. Let me add a few more things.

I'm quite far from being emotionally stable and I do sometimes make mistakes, even on this forum, but I also see how power corrupts people on every level of society and it makes me very sad. Thus I try to be exactly the opposite: strict but corteous. But corteous only to people who deserve it.

I'd like to ask you all to make a distinction between "newbie" and "lamer". The latter expression might have gone out of style nowadays but that is the one describing properly those people we keep bashing. Newbie is simply a person who's not yet familiar with a particular topic. That's not a problem as none of us has ever been or will ever be omniscient.

Lamer, however, is a person who's not familiar and will never be familiar with pretty much any topic... and why...? because he or she is not willing to learn (mostly on their own, or with a bit of help)! Such people don't deserve much of courtesy, let alone help, especially for free. Let them get back to elementary school and learn how to learn.

Also, use the search feature to see how many posts I have made on this forum. Then use the search feature again to see how many thread I started on this forum which describe the problems I had with my games, software, hardware etc. Now compare the two to see the ratio of A) me helping other people with their problems and B) me asking other people to help me with my problems. Also, for the first time, there's now a FAQ that is supposed to help newbies with solving general problems. May I not expect them to read it before asking, which should not only spare us the trouble of explaining the same things again and again and again and again, but also should spare them some time with getting the answer to (some of? most of? all of?) their questions.

This, by the way, is not a problem with FileForums or, in general, the Internet only. People today don't want to spend their time with solving their own problems; they remain dumb, uninterested and expect others to solve problems for them, as fast and as cheap as possible. (I have quite a few such people around me and it disgusts me more and more!) This is the catastrophe of education and, therefore, the future of mankind. (Damn, I'm getting anti-messianistic again... ;))

[Edit] Well, recently I was told that the number of lamers doesn't increase, they just get more exposed with the introduction of the "information highway"... Dunno...
