the sims 2 university - problem with the instalation
 
hello
i'm new here xD

i'm trying install the University EP for TS2...
and when the install ends, ask for cd4 for update the game

but i put the disk on drive (or emule with the d-tools) and it continue asking for the disk4...

you can help me?

it asking the correct TS2 CD4 exactly or TS2 DVD, did u have it? if u have it then insert... it should work ...

it was only rename the CD to Sims2_4 ;)

Different version of same problem!
 
I had sims 2 cd version, which i converted to a dvd version, thanks to help from grumpy..... it worked fine & i could do a full installation without any problems. But when i try to install university, it asks me to install sims 2 cd 4! i dont have that as i have the sims 2 dvd now! what shall i do? i dont have this problem while installing nightlife...

Wow, you managed to physically convert the multiple CD's into one DVD? (Otherwise, how come you don't have the CD's anymore...?)

I do have all the CDs, but it would be nice to chuck them out & have just the DVD. I mean, what's the use of converting the CDs to a DVD anyway? :D

Well, the purpose of this site is rather preserving your original CD's/DVD's and playing games (takes a lot of time, raising the probability of braking the original; especially with kids and pets around!) from backups or the hard disk. Having to get the original CD/DVD from the shelf about once a year, for an installation (done by you, neither your kid or your pet ;)), shouldn't be that much of a hassle... ;)

I didnt write the conversions, I just posted them! Ewoud, Darkleftos and madmax4 are the guys who deserve the credit for the Sims conversions. ;)
