The Guy Game
 
I install the game (Full Installation) copy cracks over. When i open the game the menu loads but when you try and start the game an error message pops up telling me to insert the dvd why isn't the crack working. suggestions?

Maybe its not a proper NoCD/DVD exe?
Some Fixed.exe's need a backup disc in the drive to play.
Create a backup disc of your original and try that in the tray.
I cant be more specific as I dont have the game myself. ;)

it gives me dx9c errors i need to some how unistall dx9c and put dx9c from march of 2005 any help then i think both of us will the same problem will solve its that dx9c any later no good because it use 640 by 480 windows and the new direct x 9c dont realy use it any more please help i dont wont to format any one thanks

as i knew The Guy Game is DVD9 which is dual layer DVD, i got no problem with this game. Try not to install maximum but minimum then use alcohol to make the image of thiz game, when u play u must mount your image.
try it mate ... it works 4 me

wtf are you talking about? Directx deson't control resolution or anything, it just a grfx programming language (or at least to my knowledge anyways, i might be off), like OpenGL and D3D. Check your drivers if your stuck in 640x480.

Also, back to the topic. I would double check to make sure the crack is the same version as your installaing game.

techincally you can adjust a screen to work in any size in d3d mode. 640x480 is still used with DX9c.


Yes DX doesnt control your graphic card, but it controls what comes out of it to your monitor. And also deals with sound the same way, it could be a sound problem the guy has rather than graphical.
