LOTR battle for middle earth II help!

I have a problem with LOTR battle for middle earth II...
I installed the game ,went perfect , movies play well too everything ok except the game itself.. when I play campaign or skimish the background is black with stripes someplaces, all I can see is the units and the buildings(graphics are put at high), when I put the graphics at low the background turns rainbow colors... I can see units and buildings good.. I updated the game ... nothing... I installed the directX feb 2006 , nothing...

I dont know where else to turn...
my specs are:

windows xp x64 edition corporate
intel pentium 4 660 3.6 ghz
direct x feb 2006
ati radeon 9800 pro 128mb..

Contact the publisher for help; this is NOT a game support forum.

(@I_Will_Never_Die: Can you install a 64-bit OS onto a machine equipped with a 32-bit CPU? No, you can't. The original poster obviously messed it up or he/you got confused. Get to your senses...!)

Probably has something to do with ur Windows, heard it aint very good with compatability.

Blade3609 14-03-2006 07:16

people say it sucks in compatibility, but I think its pretty good.. its just this game doesnt work , the other 20 I tried worked perfectly.. guess its just a buggy game...

I fixed the problem..
It was just corrupt files...

Besides X64 plays games better. Anyone who thinks otherwise obviously hasnt got a 64bit CPU to try it.
