TOCA Race Driver 3 aka DTM etc problem
 

Hi

I copied the game to my hdd but cannot play it. the screen stays black and the box freezes. need to restart it by hand.

I used dvd2xbox but don´t know the version. must be at least 0.5.7 since I could copy it to the hdd without any error.

I searched for an update but xbins website is not available and invite only on mirc.

Any idears???

From what I understand, the only way to backup this game is thourh ftp and burning it to a disk. It has some nasty issue with filenames or something.

Lets see, you used dvd2xbox, ripped to your hd and then ftp'd to your PC? or are you attempting to run it from your xbox?

If you are trying to run it from hdd check so that you have enough free space on all partitions. Also make sure that the game runs fine from original disc.

OK the version of dvd2hdd was 0.7.1 and since xbins is available again I could get the version 0.7.4 with an bug fix for "games copied to hdd won´t start"

so I will give it another try and see if it works. Will get back with the result

Hi there

here´s my feedback. Took a while but ...

I installed dvd2hdd version 0.7.5 (up2date one) and get the same result. the game gets copied to the hdd but I can´t play it. Also the backup to the pc did not work after burning it on a dvd. By the way can I use DVD-RW? I tried +/- RW but without success! Any idea?

Also my new game Tony Hawk ...Wasteland... Neither dvd2hdd nor hddloader will write it on the local drive.
