Middle-earth 2 - all my men die???
 

Hi,

Do anyone have this problem that your men die after a certain period inside the game, like 5 mins. or something? For both skimish, mission game or any kind.

The no CD does not work - use instead the Maxi Image - if you use the windows folder compression, it uses only 3,5 MB. The Image works just perfect!

I am using the 3 cd version and updated to 1.01, but which tool do you refer to I use?

Go to gamecopyworld and download the maxi image. make a folder on your harddisk and enable the comprassion function. Extract the maxi image in this folder and mount it with daemon tools 4.03.
Download safedisk hider tool (also from gamecopyworld) and start it. now you can play without problems.

Which maxi image are you refering to?

I use the 5,5 MB Maxi Image from Neo . . . from Gamecopyworld

I can't find it under cd and dvd utilities, do you have a link?

Where is the Problem?
1. Just go to www.gamecopyworld.com
2. Click on a mirror and enter the site
3. Scoll down to "week 8". there is a link to the Image from "Neo"
4. At the download link there are also links to daemon tools and backlist tools like safe disk hider . . .
So the rest you must do yourself . . . .

I Dont Understand On Why Your All Your Men Die.
I Am Using The FIXED.EXE From GCW. Works Perfectly Have'nt Had No Such Problem.

I Have Played Mission, Skirmish, Even The War Of The Ring (Real-Time) Game.
Perfectly Works NO Problem, Oh Yes I Had To Install Latest Graphic Card Drivers. Working Smoothly. :):):)

The fixed game.dat does not work on every computer - I do not know why! I have the german DVD version - I need the Image file. With the fixed game.dat file I had the same problem: just start a match and after 5 Minutes all my mans are died and buildings crashed.
Now I use the fixed maxi image and all workes fine - even after two hours without any crash . . .

lol - if I type an incorrect key, I cannot even install the game. you should turn on your brain before you post something like that. :rolleyes:

It will do that (buildings, units die) for any (newer) EA game when you use a crack that wasn't designed for your region. (ex. Crack for US on German) Also, corrupt or missing registry data. It's EA's way of making sure you don't fsk with their games. S And yes you can use an incorrect CD-key. If you've tampered with the registry to change your key (why I don't know) then that will happen. So in conclusion: either find a crack made specifically for your version or use daemon tools.

the same 'problem' was in command and conquer generals, (i know for a fact, i had to trace it and fix it).. it can be 'triggered' by numerous things, such as ...

a blacklisted cd key
a 'silent' cdcheck failing
regional check not 'fitting' the region of the pc (tho this was not enabled in c&c:g)

it is definately in the executable code, and not just some 'weird' problem with video drivers etc... it IS deliberate
