Sims 2 Open for Business Problem!!!(no nocd)

Hi.
i have installed sims 2 with the first 2 expansions packs and after the intallation of Sims 2 Open for Business he says that i have no Nightlife intalled can some help me without a new installation. i dont want to loose my downtown...

sry for my english^^

I dont have any of the Sims games but from what I understand Nightlife no longer shows up because you have installed Open for Bussiness. This is how it is supposed to be.
Open for Bussiness contains everything that was in the previous Nightlife install.
Its works something like that anyway! I would not go doing a reinstall just yet until someone who does have the games actually confirms (or disagrees) with what I have said. ;)

I can't really understand what the error is. I guess he meant that after installing Open For Business, all the Nightlife functions disappeared (such as the Downtown.) That would be a technical issue, and you should contact EA about it, using http://eatech.custhelp.com

try reinstalling sims 2 through ofb again?

DarkLeftos 10-03-2006 09:36

Clearly a technical issue, I insist on contacting EA's Tech Support with that. Although all I've heard from other people is criticism about it, my personal experiences show otherwise.

P.S. A helpful tip (not only for EA's, but for any company's tech support): Follow-up their responses until they feel like idiots and put someone who knows his job on line. That's what I did with my FIFA 06 issue, and after 3 follow-up responses which showed quite obviously that I knew more about computers than the person replying, I got a very helpful reply from a tech support representative who obviously knew what he talked about, and didn't look through automated responses to throw at me.

ok thx for the replys.
i will contact ea..... (arrgh i hate suportlines!!!)
when i have a good the answer to the problem i will post it.

right... I also have a problem, so if someone could please help me, I'd be pretty damn grateful, since I'm starting to lose my patience.

I have The Sims 2 installed on my machine. recently I bought the University expansion pack, installed it and it worked fine. then I got Nightlife, installed that one as well, and it worked fine (both of them were installed).

Then I got "Open for business". I installed it. Everything seemed ok at the moment. I copied the crack file to the folder (C:/Program Files/EA Games/The Sims 2 Open for business), and there wasn't the usual "would you like to replace..." screen. It just got pasted. there was no appliaction, and the file with the same name (Sims2EP3) was just an icon (image).

And, of course, the game doesen't work.

So. what's my problem and can someone of you beautiful pople help me please?

It is the duty of the publisher to help you with problems with the original game (without using a crack).
