How Doyou Compress So Small!!!!
 

Hi,

I was just trying to figure out how to compress a 3 gig .mds file down to less than a meg. I have one file that is that small, and can't figure out how to make it that small using WinRar

Any info would be awsome thanks

a mini image?.. you replace the file data with zeros (or your favourite character from the ascii table 0->255), leaving the iso/file structure intact.. its been explained before in other threads

Instead of storing one million 0's it stores 0 followed by one million

I don't think he was talking about mini images :p lol

If it is a mini image your compressing, then winrar will most certainly compress down to a few megs (depending on how much of the disc has actually been imaged of course)

He was talking about maxi-images.


Have a read, a .mds file 3gb > less than 1mb.. Thats maxi images.
