Battlefield 2 simply won't work -.-
 

I installed BF2 full. then i tried the "Battlefield 2 v1.0 [ENGLISH] No-CD/Fixed EXE" which didn't work for me. i start the game, get a short black screen and get back to my desktop. then i tried "Battlefield 2: Special Forces [ALL] No-DVD/Fixed Image #2" and "Battlefield 2: Special Forces [ALL] No-DVD/Fixed Image #1" which also didnt work...same problem as already metioned. i'm using Daemon 3.47 and also tried the sd4-hider. but its always the same blackscreen then the desktop....i read something about this one "Battlefield 2 [ALL] No-DVD/Fixed Image #2" from Bleh but this also doesn't work. i don't understand the problem (maybe cuz i'm nooby to this) but it would be great if anyone could help me. and please don't say things like read the readme.txt or something....i read them all and exactly did what was said inside. help plz. game version is 1.0 because that great official download page offers connections about 10-20 kb/s which means the 350MB would take almost the whole day.....
as a summary: i tried cd and dvd versions (also BF2 and BF2:SF). and i tried anti-blaxx and sd4-hider.

at this moment i'm kinda pissed off... lots of different images are available but not even one works...

This may be a stupid question,but after you installed the full version, did you try running the game with the CD/DVD in the drive, just to make sure you didn't get the crash to desktop then?

There's no point in bumping; if you got no answer for the first time, you won't for the second time either. Also, read the FAQ; it may give you more infos than the readme's of the crack packages. (By the way, have you tried running the game without a crack? I have the feeling, it will crash again. In which the reason for the crash is not the mini image! More on solving problems with non-cracked games in... tada... the FAQ! ;))

As for the CTD problem, I am looking for a thread over at totalbf2.com that had some good tips about it. Will post it when I find it again. In the meantime see in this thread if you can find anything useful:

In the meantime could we get your PC's specs, version of windows and so on. Also versions of drivers etc?
We should be able to solve this in one way or another. :)

Edit2: try reinstalling the game and then apply the patch directly (never even attempt to launch the game!) and see if it works then.
