FIFA06 german version on XP

Hi guys,

first of all, I have read all the FAQ stuff concerning FIFA06, but no entry did help me yet.

I tried to start FIFA06, german version, (which works fine with my original CD) by using the larger image from the gamescopyworld site, on my XP. I met all the requirements (Anti-Blaxx, Alcohol120, even tried it with Daemon Tools). The smaller image from the website did not work either.

Whatever I do, I always see the first page containing the player when starting the FIFA06.exe, but then an error appears saying, that the exe file quit and if I want to send an error report to Microsoft.

Can it have something to do with the fact, that I also have Game Jack 5 installed (by the way, creating an image using Game Jack 5 did not work either with FIFA06, whereas e.g. with Need for Speed Underground this was no problem) ? Or maybe it is caused by the fact, that I did not install the online components of FIFA06 ? Somebody gave the advice to temporarily disable all other virtual drives, but that did not help either.

Thanks in advance for your help.

SvenS

If you read the FAQ carefully, you'll see that Anti-Blaxx is probably the worst thing you can try to hide virtual CD/DVD emulators from the copy protection! Try the newest Pr0t.St0p or CureROM - and all the others, too - instead. Good luck!

Thanks for your hint (I took the Anti-Blaxx only because the readme of the image suggested that).

I will also try if updating to XP SP2 and uninstalling Game Jack 5 will have a positive effect.

Remember that, while the readme for a crack is never updated after its release, the FAQ is being maintained (ehm, well, sometimes... :D). So, the FAQ may contain more up-to-date information than the readme's.
