Mod installers Hull area?
 

Just wondering if anybody on here knows a good Mod installer for the Hull area? I have read the forum and hopefully the L**DS fan or Hull chipper(are u the man) will know. Not sure about this swap disc business what do others think? Its just my Ps2 is a brand spanker and if I use the swap disc it wont ruin my warranty.
On another point I have a 7year old PC what are the requirements needed to do homebrew games? Do you need a decent PC?

im ignorant, dont know where in the hull your at (come on man..had to) seriously i dont know where hull is. to make a ps2 backup youll need a dvd burner, theyre pretty cheap now a days though. more memory never hurts, but dont plan on using the cpu when your burning anyway. stay away from the swap disc crap. getting past that voided warranty was my toughest thing, but hell i had an old v4 that i sent to sony 4-5x for a new laser, they never once got it from me with the warranty sticker in place. (this is getting long i know), but on that v4 i put in a no-solder chip that came with swap discs. the chip forced the tray open for me to swap discs during boot up and the whole time the tray was (forced) open that laser fired and fired looking for a disc. you could hear that laser firing from across the room. everytime i got the ps2 back it was fine...right up til i put the chip back in. then it was fine for 2-3 days, then 1 disc read error. 4-5 days it went to every other boot up, 1 1/2 - 2 weeks later, dead laser..everytime. so i'd take the chip out, send it to sony, and 4-5 weeks later id get it back w/ a "new" laser. finally i traded it to a friend who doesnt use a mod for his year old v7 sent that out for a chip (norcal), and have had not 1 problem since. any of this helping ya? get it done man your ps2 will be SOOO much more enjoyable.
