A problem with Age of Empires 2 - LAN

I connect with my friend, we "see" eachother, i click on START GAME but the game say: "You need to have a CD in your drive to play the game". Since these computers don't have a cd rom, i made an image of an instalation disc, mounted it in DEAMON TOOLS and was unbelievably sure that it will work but no - it writes the same thing !!! :o :o :o

Is there some solution? I am desperate !!!

You probably need to have two different install CD's to be able to play online. Did you buy two copies of the game, to play on LAN?

Hmmm, look... it's is not an original game. But, it is not the point. I have the game which comes on 1 CD. The point is WHY the game won't recognize virtual CD as a real one. I remember that i played the same copy with my friend on LAN several years ago.

A guy told me that i maybe should give the name of that image (not the ISO name but the name of the disc when i "open" it) as it is on the install disc (AOE2). It sounds right... there must be a way...

It is the point, you should have read the rules.

I didn't brake any rule. I didn't ask for any links, warez, serials, i even shouldn't tell what kind of game i have, i just asked why the game won't recognize the virtual cd. Thats all. I can make the virtual CD even with the original game if i don't won't the CD to be running during the game.

* Everybody are talking about pirated games, this whole web site is about it so the rules are really rediculous...

Closed; if TWO people play with the game, you need TWO original copies of the CD's. Banned; for the "you are all hypocrites" part. For more infos, read the forum rules and the FAQ!
