Matrix Infinity 1.38 questions
 

I have the chance to buy a modded PStwo (SCPH-70004) with a Matrix Infinity 1.38 chip.
Is this chip recommended for playing Backup PS2 & PS1 games? How is compatibility?
How about 1.38? Is this old? Is it possible to upgrade the version?

Matrix infinity is the best modchip on the market right now. Its flash upgradable and will load everything you throw at it ;)

I read something about Matrix Infinity clones (like Modbo). How do I know if it's a clone in that PStwo? Under the Playstation 2 logo is "Matrix Infinity 1.38" written. Could this also be written there if it's a clone? I need to know this because if you update the firmware and it's a clone the chip gets damaged.

Tell the person that your getting it from that you want it flashed with the most resent Infity flash V1.75 and see how they respond.

He didn't want to open it or flash it, so I left it out and bought another one.

It was obviously a clone then :(
