help my dash is gone
 

:confused: realy don't know what happend i have an xbox with a hard wired mod in it, i also have a hard drive 80gb and about ten or 11 games on it. two days ago i was playing my xbox fine , it would load the dash up and everything but then yestersay i went to go into it and play and the only dash that came up was the msdash , dont think this is too big of a problem but i am just lost, if ne one has ne idea how to get this back can u post it for me thanks have a merry xmas

Well, for one you can see if it boots any apps or backups off a disk. But, your chip is probably disabled for whatever reason, either by switch or a loose connection.

That is usually the cause for the MS dash on startup after you had installed another dash.

time to rent again lol
 

oh , i got a boot disk sence i posted last and i formated my hard drive and tryed to install the dashboard again, it didnt work . i figured that my D0 wire came off that is the one that grounds it ill check it out for sure thanks man ! Guess i shound't have formated cause now i will need to reinstall all that stuff again. that sucks lol only had 11 games but still. Thanks again , i'll let u know what happend.

If the boot disk loaded and you didn't have to use a gamesave exploit to load it, then the chip install is fine...

i'm going to take it apart today and check it out i hope its just the wire or something , i realy want this to work again, kinda miss playin it lol, i got the boot disk off bearshare and it seemed like it was going to work , wish me luck!

:eek: well i stripped it down and it was the D0 wire that was off it is my ground wire so thats why the dash board was not comming up , i wish i would have known that befor i formated all my games off , but what ever not a big deal all i have to find now is a boot disk for it that will load my dash back on once i solder the wire back on thanks for ur help!
