Has anyone seen a Sec7 disc like this before, Rugby League 2
I have been trying to create an image file of NRL Rugby League 2 with Alcohol 120, it's a SecuROM 7.00.00.0008 protected game which I've been using the Securom New (4.x/5.x) datatype and when I try to mount the image I get this error message. "Unable to mount image, Invalid image file" .
Anyway it's a CD-ROM disc but it looks like a movie disc more than anything, the only files on it are 5 *.mpg files. The disc looks like this D:\ DATA\MOVIE umovie0.mpg umovie1.mpg umovie2.mpg umovie5.mpg umovie6.mpg There are no other files anywhere on the disc other than these 5 movie files. To install game you use disc 1 (Install disc, obviously) which is unprotected but disc 2 (Play disc) is not used in installation process at all and this is the Securom 7 protected disc and also the problem disc. It's as I've described above and I've never seen anything like this before. I saw another post similar to this on another forum but it was a different game and a DVD disc that wouldn't mount and the advise they got was to use DVD Decrypter or DVD shrink to make an image and then us alcohol. I don't know if this is a similar thing but if anyone has any ideas on how to fix it I would really apprecialte it. Thanks for any help! Any ideas on what other methods or software that would create and image of this type of disc would be extremely helpfull. |
Reminds me of the XBOX type of protection, it will show DVD VOB files instead of the actual data.
Chances are the play disc is just movies for the game. |
Tryed to read out the CD with Alcohol and Any-DVD? Skispringen 2006 is also protected with CSS/CPPM like Movie Discs and with Any-DVD in Background I could make a working image!

Thanks for the replies but I'm not sure what you mean exactly, could you explain what you did to create the image? What datatype did you use and how to use both Alcohol and Any DVD together? It wouldn't create a image file using Sec New*(4x/5x) for me.
Thanks again buddy, I appreciate the help. BTW, I've been making image files with BlindWrite 5 and can't get those to work either! |
