chip or laser????/
 

Hi
my lads ps2 is modded with a matrix infiniti clone (v1.40) and had a new laser fitted 2 months ago (slim silver)
today he turned it on and it never booted up straight away(unusual)
and when i pressed the on/off button to reboot it stayed lit up green(on) and would not turn off so i had to unplug the cable at back
now it only goes to the browser screen thing.
i was wondering ..have i disabled the chip or something or can the laser be duff after 2 months

are all necessary laser fixes applied to teh laser? there are kits you buy and solder onto teh mobo to stop the burning of lasers on teh slim consoles.. u will keep going threw lasers until u install a laser fix!

the guy i bought it off repaired it for free when the 1st laser went and he said it was because all fixes were not applied...so i assumed he did them while fitting the new laser

well id say take it back and tell him all laser fixes are still not applied or applied correctly!!
