Medal of Honor-Allied of Assault + Spearhead + Breakthrough on the one DVD
Original Poster: Grumpy
Post Date: 08-04-2005 Create a Temporary directory on the hardrive. (Call this Directory MOHAA_DVD) Copy all of the MOHAA CD1 to the Temp directory. Copy from the MOHAA CD2 the ‘Main’ and ‘Win95OpenGLfix’ folders and also the ‘data3.cab’ file to the Temp directory. Create another Directory inside the MOHAA_DVD directory and name it ‘MOHAAS’ (This is the same name as the label of the Spearhead CD) Copy all of the Spearhead CD to this newly created MOHAAS directory. Then move the ‘eReg’ directory from the MOHAAS directory to the root of the MOHAA_DVD directory, overwriting any files if asked. Create another directory inside the MOHAA_DVD directory and name it ‘MOHAAB’ (This is the same name as the label of the Breakthrough CD) Copy all of the Breakthrough CD to this newly created MOHAAB directory. Then again move the ‘eReg’ directory from the MOHAAB directory to the root of the MOHAA_DVD directory, again overwriting any files if asked. Create another directory for any Cracks, Patches, Serials etc. Download my MOHAA Installer Menu from GameCopyWorld. This is what the Menu looks like. Extract downloaded MOHAA 'Menu.rar' to the root of the MOHAA_DVD directory. Overwrite the existing 'AutoRun' file with the one from the Menu.rar when asked. NOTE: Remove files from the folder I may have rarred them up in! Files must sit in the root of the DVD not in a folder!) Burn to a DVD using the label MOHAA_DVD. Installing: Insert DVD and the MOHAA Menu will start automatically. Click buttons to Install. Start with installing MOHAA. (Obviously) Then install the v1.11 update patch. (NOTE: The v1.11 patch is supposed to be installed during the Spearhead install but for some reason it fails to start so install the patch before starting the Spearhead install.) Then install Spearhead. Then finally install Breakthrough. Clicking each button will take you to the corresponding games Autorun. Then from your created Cracks folder replace the 3 original game exe’s with the NoCD cracks. Then play either one of your favourite Medal of Honor games. Program used to create the menu was 'CDMenuPro v4' Great Program, there are more buttons you could add to the menu, ie: Serials, NoCD patches etc but then the file would have been larger! Purchase CDMenuPro v4 and have a go at making your own menus. Thanks to ‘BANJA’ for letting me know to copy the ‘eReg’ directory to the root of the DVD. ;) --------------------------------------------------------- The Following was submitted by 'Methanoid' in another Post. I now know that I was not alone in finding that this didnt work for me. My machine refused to accept the 1.11 patch and to install Spearhead. A google search led me to find that EA's install is a bit dodgy or their 1.11 patch is. In either case you need to change a registry entry: Copy this text into a file and name MOH_FIX.REG and double click before installing the 1.11 patch and it SHOULD work for you. Did for me (at last!) Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\EA GAMES\Medal of Honor Allied Assault\1.1.12.200] |
Problem
At first I would like to say thank you for the menu though to not sound too ungrateful i was hoping to make my own with Autorun Pro Enterprise. As i said before my problem is not with your menu but with mine. My problem is whenever I start the installer for Spearhead or Breakthrough I get an error about a file in the eReg directory. I was hoping there was a way get around this as I have tried moving it everywhere. Any help would be greatly appreciated. TY and hopefully I'll get some help soon.
P.S. - As i went roughly off your conversion I gave the game and expansions there own directorys. |
Grumpy, if you copy the 'patch' folder from either the Breakthrough or Spearhead folder into the root of the DVD then the patch will launch, if needed, when you install either of those two exapnsions, just like you had to copy the 'eReg' folder to the root to get them to show the CD KEY entry box.

@BarryB
Yes thanks Barry, I actually figured that out awhile ago but just forgot to update the conversion, and I figured that since the Custom Installer had the buttons already there for the patches then I may as well just leave it as is. I 'may' have edited the conversion at cd-2-dvd.com and forgot to edit it here? I will have to check. But yes, thanks again. ;) |
First of everything, thanks for the explanation Grumpy...
But, i have a problem! I did everything like you said and after that i tried to run MOHAA and it runs.... tried to run MOHAAB and didnt run, crashes before appears the logo of EA GAMES and happens too at the same way in MOHAAS. Its possible to solve my problem or try to help me resolving that? Thanks for the attention and time. |
@zoner
Do you have the German versions of the games? If I remember correctly the conversion does not work for the German versions. |
How can i see if my version is the German?

And i found a problem. When trying to install MoH: Spearhead or Breaktrough, i'm getting error with "Medal of Honor ..._Code" file. The structure of disc is identically with Grumpy tut. Any ideas what to do? |
Quote error messages exactly.

Make sure that name is correct and try again" and Windows cannot find file "Medal of Honor Allied Assault Breakthrough_Code.exe. Make sure that name is correct and try again" And after that is msg that registration is not done, and installer exits to Windows. |
