Copy all Files from CD 1 into a Temp Folder.
Copy only the "Gothic2-Setup-W02" from CD 2 into the temporary Folder.
From CD3 copy the Folders "ArxDemo" and "DirectX" and the File "Gothic2-Setup-W03" into your Temp.

Note : If you don´t need the Arx Fatalis Demo (for more Diskspace or something) delete the "ArxDemo" Folder and the File "demosetup.exe". Now open the "autorun.ini" with Notepad and remove following Entries:

Arx = 320, 401, Button, Arx
and
Arx = Action_User_quit demosetup.exe

Save and exit the "autorun.ini"
Delete now the "Arx_hover.bmp","Arx_normal.bmp" and the "Arx_pushed.bmp" in the "Autorun" Folder and the Arx Demo is no more.

Copy your Patches, cracked Exe´s, Cheats etc. into a Folder named "NoDVD" or something ...

Burn contents of the temporary folder to a DVD using the label you want (mine called Gothic2_DVD).

This does not work. When i try to instrall the game from this Backup-DVD it sais "Please insert original disc"...
Any chance to back it up on DVD?

yes i know. i have already told that to grumpy. i have tried the english version of gothic 2. i thought it was the same as german and you confirm that. the only possible way i can think of is by using wise setup capture because it uses wise installation system. even the gold edition is on cd:(
