My disc drive went Kaput!
 

I have an Asus cd burner and was having no problem running discs since I bought this PC about 6 months ago. Now all of a sudden when I put in mp3 disc the other day it crashed and wouldn't open. I ended up having to open up hardware options and disable this drive. My question is whats my next move should I try to uninstall and reinstall?

Man I dont want to sound like im being sarcastic and such.


But you seem to have no luck with computers. I really feel for you. I do.



Why its crashing when reading a disc is strange. My advice, find out what chipset is on your motherboard and download the IDE drivers for it, usually it comes in a service pack rather than a driver.
